Last Day of Being 2!!

And here we are at the end of another year! I was thinking today....Chad and I have know had a child longer than we were married with no child! I can't believe how fast the last three years have gone by and how much fun and joy God has blessed us with through this little guy! Here's how he spent the VERY RAINY afternoon of being two...

It's Christmas Time Again!!!

Oh! How I love this time of year! I love all the hustle and bustle, I love shopping for the perfect gift for family and friends, I love decorating my house for the season and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE designing and sending out  Christmas cards!! This is our 6th married Christmas and every year I have used Shutterfly to design our cards. Not only do they have wonderful cards to choose from, but the shipping is super fast. I have never once been disappointed in our cards. In the past years I have always sent the flat photo cards because they are great quality at a fantastic price and we send lots of cards so I need a good price! BUT...this year I am really liking the flat stationary cards and think I may order some of these this time. The new holiday collection is just wonderful. There is so much to choose from - from elegant to funky! I love that! They are on cardstock rather than photo paper and just look great! I am also considering doing something for the first time this year and that is making a photo calendar. I have never attempted this, but would love to have it throughout the year and I think it will make a great gift for some special people in our family.

So....now I'm off to attempt taking that perfect photo for our card! Thank goodness their cards are so cute it will cover up any of my awful photography skills!!

See ya later Ali-GATOR!

Today was a BEEEEAUTIFUL day!! I am a huge fan of winter, but today left me wishing for Spring. Caleb loves to be outside so I think we have lots to look forward to as the weather gets warmer. Since the weather was so wonderful today we headed over to our friends' house (also named Chad and Kerri) so that Caleb could play for a while with their son, Drake. Caleb and Drake are exactly 1 month apart, with Drake being the elder! Today's highlight: The John Deer Gator. Oh boy did these kids have fun! Drake is quite the professional driver and Caleb had a blast being his sidekick while holding on for dear life. Check out his grip on those handles! :) These boys laughed so hard. Caleb's favorite part was when they would get stuck and the tires would spin. He would do one of those hard, can't-catch-your-breath laughs every single time. Both Chads and both Carrie/Kerri's had a great time watching the boys. We look forward to lots more playtimes with Drake. Here are a few more pics of their fun together:

Cookin' Christmas Cookies

Yesterday we went to hang out with Lindsey and Ella to start off Christmas week with a little cookie baking!! Lindsey and I bought the kids these aprons last year so we only thought it appropriate to get together so they could wear them!! :) We had a great time. We made sugar cookies with icing then let Ella and Caleb decorate them with sprinkles and chocolate chips. Caleb was very into the sprinkles and Ella was very into the chocolate chips....eating them at least! :) Here are some pictures of our great time together....

Oh....yeah. And after the cookie eating, when the sugar began to kick in, Caleb felt it neccessary to take Ella down. He thought it was hilarious. Ella.....not so much!!

Three Words....

Three words that can melt your heart are I Love You. It doesn't matter who speaks them, they are priceless words. Just since last weekend Caleb has started saying these words and it just melts my heart everytime I hear them. Although I know he doesn't really know what they mean yet, it is still so sweet. Most of the time you have to help him start by saying "IIIIII...." and he will finish by saying "YUUUUUB YYYOOOOUUU!" (as he points to himself!) BUT...the other night he was in the tub and completely unprompted he looked right at me and said all three words by himself. BE STILL MY SOUL! I almost got a little teary eyed! And then this morning as Chad was leaving he looked at him and said " IIIIIIII YUUUUB....(pause)....Da-da!!" It's just so precious watching him pick up on so many things. He's like a little sponge and is repeating everything! I am loving this stage!
